On August 4-5 our staff saw over 160 players from across VA/DC at the VA/DC Summer State Games. Today we begin to take a look at a few players that stood out in a few areas. Our superlatives list cover two different sets of players, pitchers and positional players. In total we look at eight categories for players, Fastball, Secondary Mix, Pitcher Projection, Raw Power, Run Tool, Athleticism, Hit Tool, and Defense. We have selected the players from each event that stood out in those respective categories. This story focuses specifically on postional players from the VA/DC State Games.
