This weekend, players from all corners of Virginia have descended upon Liberty University for the Commonwealth Games. Four teams of All-Stars selected by region will take part in the event, playing a round-robin Friday and Saturday for seeding in Sunday's Medal Round. Here are our notes from Saturday's early games:
West Team
-Christiansburg 2018 RHP Will Stout showed feel for four pitches and good pitchability during four scoreless innings. His fastball was 79-82, but he showed a good true slider, a 12/6 curveball, and a fading change-up as well and commanded all four pitches well. He allowed two hits and one walk during his outing while striking out five.
