Throughout Wednesday, July 26-Saturday, July 30, 2023 Prep Baseball Report Future Games were held in Emerson, Georgia at our LakePoint Sports Complex. For this event the various PBR staffs from around the country selected the best uncommitted rising juniors and sophomores to form teams to represent their state or region in the event, bringing well over 450 of the best uncommitted players in the United States and Canada to one four field quad for 4 days.

For this event, players from Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and DC were selected to form Team Mid-Atlantic. Players on Team Mid-Atlantic had a position player showcase workout on Wednesday and then played in three games, one per day, Thursday-Saturday, going 1-1-1 against Team Florida, Team Carolinas, and Team California. Scouts from all 30 MLB teams and well over 350 college coaches were in attendance.

Burton's Analysis

Jett Bristow OF / C / Collegiate, VA / 2025

Bristow has become a household name, not only in Virginia, but with his last two weeks of performances, schools across the country know who the Collegiate outfielder is. Strong physical athlete with big raw power at the plate. Safe to say, Bristow possesses 60 raw power with the potential for more in his future. The raw power has been there, but the most important thing is that he has started to tap into it in gameplay. While he did not have any in game homeruns during Future Games, he did show off his improved hit tool and ability to handle spin deep in counts with multiple singles on secondary pitches. The first day he blistered an early count offering for a 106.7 mph triple to deep center field. The corner outfielder/first baseman is coming off of an MVP type performance at 17U National Championship, where he hit four homeruns in six at bats with his best #BristowBolt coming at 102.4 mph at 405 feet. The raw power is undeniable and his ability to produce loud barrels, even on mishit balls (i.e. Jake Gelof), will be a valuable tool to schools in hot pursuit of Bristow.
