aNo. 10 Timothy Stephan RHP Highland 2017

PBR Notes

8.10.16:  Stephan has a lanky 6-0 frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. Short, loose arm action that is quick and generates velocity with some effort. Shoulders level and closed as strides out to a slightly closed landing with a bit of recoil and fall off on his finish. Fastball sat 83-84 and touched 86 with heavy run. Sharp 11/5 curveball with good armspeed was 71-75. Sinking change-up had decent armspeed at 76-77. Short loose arm action and a strong arm, accurate throws with carry, position velocity of 82. Soft hands, quick fluid footwork and a quick fluid exchange, playing through the ball well. Hits from the right side with an athletic stance, leg kick stride and smooth back load. Decent lower half and good balance throughout swing. Fast bat, short path with extension, line drive swing with gap power to all fields and more to his pull side, good rhythm and exit velocity of 90.

Stephan is currently ranked No. 88 in the PBR Virginia/DC Class of 2017 rankings. he made his commitment to Rider this fall.
