As we approach the spring season, we would like to highlight some uncommitted players from across the state that you should get out and see this spring.
As always, NOVA is loaded with talent. This year's 2023 class is really strong and there are still some remaining uncommitted players that could have very successful college careers. Today we take a look at handful of them.

Kyle Carpe was one of my favorite uncommitted 23's I saw this summer. While at the Upperclass State Games, the Stone Bridge catcher dominated the day. Sub-seven runner, high end hand and bat speed, feel for the barrel, and has some positional versatility. A must see 2023 this spring.

Eli Edelman is a big physical bat that has the potential to be a big run producer for Freedom-South Riding this year, as well as at the next level. Strong 6-foot-2 frame with power potential in the swing and first base/corner outfield profile.

Andy Francis is a versatile athlete for the St. John's Cadets. Francis produced one of the biggest swings we saw this summer when he hit a walk off homerun to win a mid-June tournament. Low-mid 80's arm that can throw strikes and get outs. Probably a bat first at the next level, but Francis is versatile and has some physicality at the plate.

Arguably the most impressive showing from a 2023 at the Mid-Atlantic State Games came from Wakefield senior, Keegan Mahoney. Left/left outfielder and arm that has legitimate two way potential. Mahoney has above average arm strength from the outfield, a clean easy stroke at the plate, and the stuff absolutely plays on the mound. If I had to choose, I would say arm first at the next level, but the bat plays and I think you have to give it a chance. Advanced spin with present swing and miss tendencies and a guy that has a chance to be an impact arm early on.

Alex Ozuna-Nunez has long been one of the best hitters in the DC area. Smooth left handed stroke and plays with a sense of maturity to his game that definitely translates into his at bats. Long, rangy defender that can contribute in multiple positions.

Grayson Snead was an impact performer when we saw him last spring and this summer. Above average runner that plays a step quicker in game, versatile defender in the infield and outfield, and versatile bat. Made a big time play in regionals last year when I was in attendance, displaying his athleticism and range.

Tanner Vislay is a compact left-hander. Low 80's arm that challenges hitters and can spin it for strikes as well. Vislay competes in the zone and has shown pitchability.
