On Sunday, February 22, Prep Baseball Report Virginia/DC hosted its second event of 2015, the Preseason All-State, for members of the 2016 graduating class. Over 80 players showcased their skills for PBR staff at Virginia Sports Complex in Ruther Glen, Virginia. All of these players will be eligible to receive an invite to the Super 60, which is the premier professional scouting event for high school baseball players. The Super 60 is held annually in Chicago, Ill. on Super Bowl Sunday prior to their senior season.  Here are the best from the event...Here is our analysis of the outfielders from the event. Outfield analysis: Preseason All-state

Kyle Battle, OF, Glen Allen, 2016
Hit from a crouched, balanced stance that had fluid rhythm.  Smooth load back with a slight bat wrap.  Short stride that stayed on line.  Maintained his balance throughout his swing.  Lower half was utilized, but lacked explosiveness.  Bat speed was exceptional.  Had an Exit Velocity of 93 mph.  Good approach to the round.  Swing path was short and level, which should result in a solid line drive and gap-to-gap hitter.  From the Outfield, he threw from a loose, high ¾ arm slot.  Throws were accurate and had carry.  His Positional Velocity was 83 mph.  His hands were slightly above average with fluid footwork that worked through the ball.  Exchanges were clean.

Aaron Boyd, OF/3B, Annandale, 2016
Hit from a crouched/athletic stance.  Arm bared during separation and rhythm was stiff.  Stride was short with a slight leg kick that stayed on line.  Balance was maintained throughout swing.  Exit Velocity was 85 mph.  Swing path stayed level through the zone.  Should be a consistent opposite field hitter.  From the Outfield, he threw from a high ¾ arm slot that had some accuracy.  Arm action was slightly stiff.  Positional Velocity was 77 mph.  Footwork played through the ball, but feet were heavy and off rhythm at times.

Brent Breeden, OF, Tuscarora, 2016
Hit from a crouched stance that had good balance.  Dropped in his legs during load.  Stride was short and stayed on line.  Lower half stayed engaged and balanced during swing.  Bat speed was average.  Exit Velocity was 74 mph.  Short swing path should allow him to be a consistent line drive hitter.  From the Outfield, he threw from a loose over the top arm slot that was accurate.  Positional Velocity was 79 mph.  Displayed soft hands with fluid footwork that played through the ball.

Logan Courtney, OF, Patriot, 2016
Hit from an open stance.  Hands stayed compact.  Good rhythm from start to finish.  Slight load back with a long stride that stayed on line.  Balance was maintained throughout swing.  Good approach during the round.  Swing path stayed short with good extension.  Should be a gap-to-gap hitter with the ability to have some pull power.  From the Outfield, he threw from a high ¾ arm slot that showed some accuracy. Had a Positional Velocity of 70 mph. Hands were okay with clean exchanges.  Footwork got out of rhythm at times, but did play through some balls.

Wil Davis, OF/MIF, Nanesmond River, 2016
Hit from a crouched stance that looked athletic and balanced.  Smooth load with a short stride that maintained balance.  Lower half was utilized to drive the ball.  Showed quick hands with a short line drive path that could hit the ball to all three parts of the field.  Had fluid rhythm during the round.  From the Outfield showed a loose arm that threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  Throws were accurate and had some carry.  Positional Velocity was 81 mph.  Displayed soft hands with clean exchanges.  Footwork was fluid and played through the ball.

Jacob Hand, OF/RHP, Briar Woods, 2016
Hit from a balanced/athletic stance.  Had a smooth load back and a short stride.  Rhythm was stiff.  Lower half exploded to the ball, while maintaining balance.  Bat speed was fast.  Exit Velocity was 81 mph.  Had a good/solid approach during the round.  Swing path was short with good extension.  Has the makeup for a consistent line drive hitter with gap-to-gap power.  From the Outfield, he threw from a high ¾ arm slot that had some accuracy.  Positional Velocity was 76 mph.  Hands were average with clean exchanges.  Footwork was out of rhythm at times, but did occasionally play through balls. 

Brett Lysohir, OF/RHP, Patriot, 2016
Hit from a crouched stance.  Had a smooth load back, but hands dropped and bared.  Short stride that stayed on line and balanced.  Showed a good approach during the round.  Exit Velocity of 87 mph.  Swing path did get long and uphill at times.  Gap to gap stroke.  From the Outfield, threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  Throws had some accuracy and carry.  Positional Velocity was 85 mph.  Good hands.  Clean exchanges.  When footwork stayed fluid played through the ball.

Ryan Sanders, OF/MIF, Patriot, 2016  
Hit from an open stance that was balanced.  Hands dropped and bared on load.  Short stride with a slight leg kick that stayed on line and balanced.  Had an Exit Velocity of 80 mph.  From the Outfield, he threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  Positional Velocity was 77 mph.  Throws had some accuracy.  Exchanges were clean.  Footwork was out of rhythm.

Cody Schneider, OF, Hickory, 2016
Hit from an open stance that had good rhythm.  Smooth load back with a slight arm bar.  Stride was short with good balance.  Lower half exploded to the ball.  Displayed explosive bat speed.  Exit Velocity of 89 mph.  Short and level path the ball with good extension.  Line drive stroke with gap-to-gap power.  From the outfield, he threw from a loose ¾ arm slot.  Throws had accuracy and carry.  Positional Velocity was 88 mph.  Displayed soft hands and fluid footwork that played through the ball.

Eric Seeley, OF/MIF, Forest Park, 2016
Hit from a balanced stance.  Smooth load back with arm bar.  Rhythm was stiff.  Short stride that stayed on line and balanced.  Lower half stayed engaged throughout swing.  Exit Velocity of 85 mph.  Good approach during the round.  Short swing path that should result in line drive consistency and pull power.  From the Outfield he threw from a long, high ¾ arm slot.  Throws had some accuracy.  Positional Velocity was 76 mph.  Displayed soft hands and fluid footwork that played through the ball.

Jack Shepherd, OF/MIF, Dominion, 2016
Hit from an open stance.  Smooth load back with fluid rhythm.  Slight leg kick stride that stayed on line and balanced.  Lower half and bat was explosive to the ball.  Exit Velocity was 85 mph.  Short swing path with good extension.  Line drive stroke with gap-to-gap power.  Showed a good approach to the round.  From the Outfield, he threw from a ¾ arm slot that showed some accuracy.  Positional Velocity of 81 mph.  Made clean exchanges.  Hands and footwork were average.  Played through the ball. 

Tommy Tarasiuk, OF, South Lakes, 2016
Hit from an open/balanced stance.  Loaded back and had no stride.  Rhythm was stiff.  Maintained balance throughout his swing.  Had a good approach to the round.  Short path that got the barrel to the baseball.  Exit Velocity of 87 mph.  Line drive stroke.  From the Outfield, he threw from a ¾ arm slot.  Throws had some accuracy.  Positional Velocity of 78 mph.  Hands were average.  Clean exchanges with fluid footwork that played through the ball.

Forrest Wagner, OF/LHP, Chantilly, 2016
Hit from an open and athletic stance.  Loaded back.  Leg kick stride that maintained line and balance.  Lower half stayed engaged to the baseball.  Good hands.  Exit Velocity of 83 mph.  Great approach with fluid rhythm during the round.  Line drive stroke with gap-to-gap power.  From the Outfield, he threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  Throws had some accuracy and carry.  Had a Positional Velocity of 80 mph.  Displayed soft hands and clean exchanges.  Footwork was fluid and played through the ball.

Addison Walker, OF/SS, Patriot, 2016
Hit from a balanced and athletic stance with hands high.  Smooth load back with short stride that maintained line and balance.  Lower half exploded to the ball and occasionally got rotational.  Rhythm got stiff at times.  Maintained good balance throughout swing.  Displayed fast bat speed.  Exit Velocity of 86 mph.  Swing path was short with good extension.  Path did work uphill at times.  Line drive stroke with some power potential.  From the Outfield, he threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  Throws had some accuracy and life.  Arm strength is a positive defensive quality for him.  Positional Velocity of 82 mph.  Hands were average and made clean exchanges.  Footwork was fluid and played through the ball.
