As the 2017 calendar comes to a close, we look back on the year that was. From big performances to state championships to notable draft picks, 2017 gave a lot to remember. The final Hotlist of the year features the top stories from Prep Baseball Report’s coverage area.

AZ: Liberatore Pitches Team USA To Gold
The No. 1 prospect in the PBR Draft 100, LHP Matt Liberatore (Mountain Ridge HS, AZ) started and won the gold medal game in the WBSC World Cup in September. He threw six scoreless innings to give him 12 total in the tournament while striking out 13. He allowed just five hits and five walks. Also a part of Team USA’s success was 3B Nolan Gorman (Sandra Day O’Connor HS, AZ). The No. 12 prospect in the PBR Draft 100 went 2-for-3 in the gold medal game.
