Scouting Report

3/22/21

VA/DC Scout Blog

Tignor has a solid offensive skill set. Athletic frame with proportional strength. Above average runner with corner outfield profile. Hands load back and bat wraps slightly on load. Possesses bat speed and hand strength through contact. Had a sac fly to deep center field early on and then drove a loud double to left center field in his fourth at bat. Really like the offensive piece that the uncommitted Tignor offers.

VA/DC State Games

Tignor is 5-11 with an athletic frame that has strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, strong contact point and some extension through the ball, showed a primarily pull approach with the ability to work gap to gap, some power present to his pull side, exit velocity was 90. In the outfield, quick feet, gets behind ball and fields through it aggressively with soft hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, position velocity was 83. Ran a 7.09 60 yard dash.

Mid-Atlantic Fall Championships

Athletic slightly open stance at the plate. Pick up and strides forward landing on line. Head is quiet and maintains balance throughout. Gets on plane with a slight uphill bat path and barrel stays on through extension. Works gap to gap with some power potential in the swing and should only get better as he gets stronger. Very intriguing bat to follow going forward.
