Updated 2019 Rankings Released

This week we update the class of 2019 rankings for Virginia/DC. A major overhaul was in order as this update presents you the top 100 players in the 2019 class across the commonwealth. Please note, these 2019 are a direct result of our boot-on-the-ground approach to scouting. These are players we have either had the opportunity to see either at one of our PBR events or events/games that we cover across the state.

Big shake up in the top ten as we have three new faces along with moving around the ranks. However, our top two players remain the same in Carson Jones and Liam Deegan. Both Virginia commits lead the way with Jones at No. 1 and Deegan at No. 2.

Geo Rivera moves into the top 5 now at No. 3. The talented RHP from Lafayette has one of the most electric arms in the state, and should continue to see his stock rise after a nice showing at the Area Code Underclass games. There is no doubt about the life in the arm and should move higher as he develops his secondary arsenal.

Three pitcher newcomers join the top ten in RHP Nick Lockhart (No. 4) RHP Drew Harlow (No.5) and LHP Griffin Agee (No. 9). Lockhart is a tall projectable 6-foot-5 right that has been in the upper 80's with room for more. Harlow performed well for Team Mid-Atlantic at the PBR Future Games, pitching 87-89 mph with an easy delivery and live arm. As his breaking ball develops he should only get better. Agee impressed us at the commonwealth games, pitching 84-86 and good feel for his arsenal.

Important to note two omissions to the 2019 Rankings with recent West Virginia commit RHP Jimmy Starnes and C Tucker Mitchell. Both player have transferred to IMG Academy and are now only eligible for the Florida State Rankings.

Close to 60 new faces entered the rankings in this update, so there was a lot of movement across the board as the rankings were shifted. Enough talk, take a look at the top ten.
