With rankings updates comes new faces entering the rankings. The 2026 class will expand by twenty-five players, resulting in a Top 75 class. These five new faces are a mixture of players that have made considerable jumps since our last update, or our staff got a chance to get a quality look(s) on that player.
Here are five new faces that have made their way into the rankings after a strong spring and/or summer.
New Faces:
Dylan Amos RHP / SS / Riverside, VA / 2026Amos is potentially the next big arm in a long line of big Riverside arms. We had a chance to see Amos early on at a NOVA Premier Scout Day where he was electric on the mound. While the velo is mostly low-mid 80's, it is the slot, fastball life, ability to pitch up, and aptitude for spin that make him an intriguing arm. In addition to the tools on the mound, Amos' value does not stop there. While the arm is ahead of the positional ability, there is still ceiling left to the two-way ability. Lean strength, bat speed, and loud barrels produced from Amos. Upside is plentiful with this '26.

Aiden Gallagher C / 1B / Paul VI, VA / 20266-foot-3, 185-pounds, proportional strength, and maybe the best catch and throw guy in the class. Above average arm strength, quick release, and really really accurate on the bag. Gallagher creates some pace for himself moving into the throw and does a nice job of getting his feet in line. The offense is second right now and things can be a bit rigid, but he has shown some bat to ball with a little more contact driven, hit tool type of bat. The defense carries the weight for Gallagher and has continued to show improvements on the offensive side.

Justin Lee RHP / OF / PDG Academy, VA / 2026Lee has recently reclassed and is now at PDG Academy in Fredericksburg. The OF/1B really showed out at the Commonwealth Classic last year, where on day two he had multiple barrels versus quality arms and showed the offensive upside. Simple hand load and explosive barrel through the zone. Corner outfield/first base defensive profile with bat to ball and produces loud contact while using the whole field. Quality offensive addition to an arm heavy class, especially on the front end.

Aidan McKeating 3B / SS / Princess Anne, VA / 2026Lanky 6-foot-2, 168-pound infielder. Simple square setup, does a nice job matching plane, and works gap to gap with an easy repeatable swing. The hand speed and bat speed are slightly above average. McKeating has room to grow into the frame and shows plenty of offensive upside. Slightly below average runner that will need to improve the foot speed to stay at third. Along with '25 Matthew Metheny, he has a chance to be an anchor for the next few years on the left side of the Princess Anne infield.

Nate Reed RHP / OF / James River (Midlothian), VA / 2026Reed could be the next man up in a long line of quality James River HS products. 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame with some present strength in the frame. Simple operation at the plate, short through the zone, and strength through contact. Really like the power projection in the bat, along with some solid bat to ball for the physical '26. Has some two-way potential on the mound, sitting in the low-mid 80's and showing some feel for secondary, but the bat carries the profile for now. Big arm strength and corner/first base projection long term. Going to one to watch going forward.
