Going forward, PBR VA/DC will post all commitments from the previous week on Fridays in this space, very much like Prep Baseball Report does nationally on Fridays with the Buzz. Make sure to let us know when you commit by quickly filling out our Commitment Questionnaire.

 Jordon Turner

Jordon Turner, SS, Clarke County, 2016 (UVA Wise)
Scouting report from June 2015: Turner hit from a balanced, athletic stance with slightly bent knees. Took a simple load back with a small arm bar. Stride was short and stayed online with good balance. Took a good approach during the round. Had a short bat path that was slightly uphill with extension. Had a gap to gap swing with average bat speed. Rhythm was stiff at times. Sets up in a closed stance, which cuts off his power potential. In the field, threw from a three-quarters arm slot that was short and stiff at times. On some throws, the stiffness caused him to be inconsistent with accuracy. All correctable.  Had soft hands. His footwork was quick and fluid. Exchanges were quick and clean. Played through the baseball at all times. Moved well in the field and presents the gloves very well. Very athletic. Had a positional velocity of 75 mph.

Congrats Jordon!!
