Going forward, PBR VA/DC will post all commitments from the previous week on Fridays in this space, very much like Prep Baseball Report does nationally on Fridays with the The Buzz. Make sure to let us know when you commit by quickly filling out our Commitment Questionnaire.

Kyle Anstice
Kyle Anstice, C, Stonewall Jackson, 2016, Ferrum
Anstice stands an athletic 6-1 and hits from a balanced and athletic stance that is slightly crouched with bent knees. He has a smooth load back and a short stride to the ball with outstanding balance. Anstice has a simple swing and sprays the ball around the field. He has a level bat path that gets extension through the ball and a line drive swing with fluid rhythm and good bad speed. At first base, Anstice throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short, loose arm action. He showed soft hands with fluid foot work and clean exchanges. Behind the plate, Anstice throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with short arm action. His throws are accurate and have average carry. He is a solid receiver and his footwork is fluid and exchanges were quick and clean. Anstice is very athletic behind the plate and has a lot of upside as a defender.

Congrats Kyle!
