This is the first week of the Private School Top 10. This week all ten of the ranked teams also fall inside of the Power 25. Our next Private School Top 10 will come on March 27, 2023 after teams are able to get their respective seasons started.

Topping the private school rankings are the Highland Hawks. The defending VISAA II State Champions opened their season last Tuesday with a combined no-hitter and win over Potomac School by a score of 11-0. They have depth on the mound, positional depth, and some big run production in the middle of the order. This team will be a tough out in 2023.

Gonzaga, the defending WCAC champions, sit at #2 in the Top 10. Bryson Moore (UVA) will lead the way on the mound, but they will need to figure out the arm depth behind him. Positionally the Eagles are a little dinged up early, but they have the talent up the middle to play with, and beat anyone.

Paul VI, although they have been scrimmages, has been electric when we have seen them early on. The young talent they have rolled out the past few years has matured and they are really good up the middle of the field. Logan Eisenreich (Virginia Tech) looks to be set up for a dominant spring and could be one of the best arms in VISAA and the WCAC.
