Friday night there was a Power 25 showdown between Jefferson Forest and the visiting Liberty Christian Bulldogs. The matchup did not disappoint. Jefferson Forest starter Connor Maggi (Gardner-Webb) and Liberty Christian starter Brock Duff (UVA-Wise) battled it out throughout the night. Maggi went five innings while scattering three hits, striking out six, and allowing one unearned run. Duff went four and two-thirds and also scattered three hits and struck out six of his own. The offenses for both teams did not produce, but Jefferson Forest came through with some clutch at bats when it counted. After a quick two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Jefferson Forest was down to their final out and would get three straight hits, including a walk off double from Evan Mace to win a hard fought game over Liberty Christian by a score of 2-1.

Below are some detailed notes and video on eight players from the game action on Friday night.
