Classification: VHSL 2A/ Region 2A     2022 Record: 17-7 *Lost in state quarters*

Key Losses: Tucker Webb (Richard Bland)

The Statesmen baseball program has a long history of winning and they made a nice run in 2022. Randolph-Henry totaled seventeen wins, were regional runners up, and made it to the state tournament. Their season ended at the hands of the Buckingham Knights in the state quarterfinals, but the Statesmen look to be just as strong this year and have a chance to make a deep run once again. They have key offensive returners in Daniel "Junior" Powell, Ben Gibbs, Jaylan Gordon, Jayden Gee, and Lucas Skelton. Gibbs was a lockdown defender at shortstop and anchored the front of the RH lineup. A key part to their success in 2023 may come down to how successful they can be on the mound. Gibbs and Brayson Arrington may need to provide some help to Skelton on the mound. If they can find some quality depth on the mound, look for the Statesmen to make a run in 2A.

Key Offensive Returners:

Benjamin Gibbs
