The Western Review was held on Sunday November 6th at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Players from around the state came to the event to perform in front of the PBR scouting staff and college coaches from the area. Today is our quick hits along with statistics from the day.

Harrisonburg HS senior Kevin Navedo showed a loose swing at the plate with quick hands and a nice ability to get consistent barrel on ball. He had sound actions in the field to go along with that.

His Harrisonburg teammates Owen Stewart and Jose Rocha, both 2019 grads showed well during the day. Stewart ran a 7.01 60-yard dash and Rocha ran a 7.14. Both have solid foundations fundamentally at the plate and defensively that could get better as they continue to develop. LHP Cade Templeton was up to 79 mph on the mound with a short, later action breaking ball.

Grayson Simms showed some pull side pop from the left side making some loud contact during BP. He posted one of the top exit velocities on the day with 86 mph.

An interesting RHP to keep an eye on is 2018 Ryan Hersi of Colgan HS. A long and lanky frame with some arm speed. Hersi was up to 86 on the day pitching with some effort. There is still work with repeating a delivery to help with his consistency on the mound, but looks to be an interesting one to keep an eye on.

2019 Joey Handley of Marshall HS was another interesting arm that has a bit of mechanical work to do on the mound to improve his repeatability, but has plenty of untapped potential. The 6-foot-5 right was up to 81 on the day with a free arm action pitching solely from the stretch.
