Thursday, July 24th kicked off game action at the 2024 Junior Future Games at LakePoint Sports in Emerson Georgia. Players from Virginia and DC make up this year's Virgina/DC 14U Junior Future Games roster from the 2028 and 2029 grad classes. In the team's second game, they beat New Jersey, 9-1. Below, we provide Quick Hit highlights from the game.

Elijah Archer 1B / OF / Highland Springs, VA / 2028

Stays back and drives this ball the other way, goes for an RBI hit and he was able to stretch to second. 92 MPH live exit velocity. 

 

James Bacher C / SS / James Madison, VA / 2028

Repeatable delivery from a higher three-quarters arm slot, short arm action. Attacked the zone consistently and worked quickly. Fastball was 75-78, touching 79.

 

Gibson Beck SS / 3B / St. Christopher's, VA / 2028

Showed good approach working gap to gap to lead off an inning with this line drive single. 

 

Harrison Davis 1B / OF / HERITAGE, VA / 2028

Pulled his hands in and got the barrel to this ball and then stayed through it to drive it to left for a sharp single. Live exit velocity was 91 MPH.

 

Cameron Feazell SS / RHP / GLENVAR , VA / 2028

Simple delivery, works from higher three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action. Was in and around the zone consistently and got a lot of swing and misses early in his outing. Fastball was 75-78, topping at 80, and had some armside run to it. Curveball was 65-66.

 

Ethan Foster 2B / SS / wise central, VA / 2028

Throws with intent, drop and drive delivery, three-quarters arm slot and a short arm action. Fastball was 75-78 with armside run and curveball was 66. Attacked zone with his fastball.

 

Chase Miller OF / RHP / St. Anne's-Belfield, VA / 2028

Taller in his delivery, longer arm action and throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball got up to 76 and had some armside run to it.

 

Christian Mulroe C / RHP / Mills Godwin, VA / 2028

Gets the head out and gets this ball on the barrel and drives it down the line for a 2-RBI double.

 

Andersen Seely OF / RHP / New Kent High, VA / 2028

Got the barrel to this ball for solid hard contact, went for a lineout to left. Live exit velocity was 87 MPH.

 

Drew Wade 3B / RHP / MILLER SCHOOL OF ALBEMARLE, VA / 2028

Ahead in the count, attacks a fastball out over the plate and doesn't try to do to much with it, lining it up the middle for a single.
