We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2020 Simsbury Baseball Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2021-2026 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2020 Simsbury Baseball Showcase - Quick Hits

The Bats

  • Manny Izzo- A right-handed hitter, quick twitch, short quick stroke, is a plus runner at 6.88.
  • Zachary Ranney- A left-handed hitter, all fields approach, with enough juice to beat the outfielders, a plus runner at 6.6.
  • Angel Rivera- A right-handed hitter, with strength, level path, hard contact, exit velocity at 91 mph.
  • Xavier Zykoff- A right-handed hitting outfielder, short to baseball and long after, gets through it, creates a lift, with backspin, serious potential to hit with power.
  • Christian Scanlon- A left-handed hitter, very balanced, showing plus pop to pull side, swing is super smooth, working with easy effort.
  • Christopher Stamboulis- A right-handed hitter, smaller, powerful with strength, bat head velocity, short simple approach, good runner at 6.94.
  • Alexander Mach- A right-handed hitter, hard contact, more pull with lift, potential to be an extra base guy.
  • Sean Diaz- A right-handed hitter, loose hands, gap to gap, a very raw athlete runs well, shows good actions. 
  • Nicholas DiRito- A right-handed hitter, powerful pull approach with advanced bat speed, has enough arm to stick on the left-side of infield.

The Arms

  • Alexander Mach- A right-handed pitcher, arm is clean whippy, fastball at 80 mph, with hard breaking ball at 71 mph.
  • Angel Rivera- A right-handed pitcher, faster crank arm, heavy ball at 81 mph, ran a survey breaker in at 71 mph as well.
  • Nicholas DeRito- A right-handed pitcher, pounded the zone with a two-pitch mix, the fastball reached 83 mph. Throws a harder breaking pitch, clocked at 73 mph.
  • Austin Ouellette- A right-handed pitcher, whippy loose arm from a ¾ slot. The fastball up to 80 mph, with late action, breaking ball reached 70 mph, much more in the tank. 
  • Devin Brown- A right-handed pitcher, clean arm from a higher ¾ slot, threw a plus changeup as well, strike throwing machine. 
  • Shreyes Parikh- A big bodied right-handed pitcher, super loose and whippy ¾ slot arm, arm side run at 80 mph, along with a 69 mph survey breaker. 
  • Michael Santos- A left-handed pitcher, a clean arm working from a ¾ slot, repeats delivery, mixed a three pitch mix, with feel for secondary stuff.
