Early look at 2022 State POY Candidates

We just concluded our year end countdown of the most viewed profiles in 2021. As we prepare for the 2022 season, we wanted to look back and revisit some potential front runners for upcoming awards and accolades. 

Last year, the aware went to '21 LHP Caden Vire (Skyview). The Arizona State commit was utterly dominant from start to finish this season and lead his HS team to a perfect 17-0 record.  He was also the only prep prospect selected in the 2021 MLB Draft and ended up signing with the Milwaukee Brewers after they grabbed him in the 12th round. 

Who might grab 2022 POY honors next season?

It's never too early to look ahead and that's why we're taking a dive into 10 names to know who have Play of the Year potential next season.

‘22 C Colton Bower (North Kitsap)
When Bower isn’t busy dominating on the gridiron or basketball court, he also spends time as one of the best true hitters in the ‘22 class. Physically strong with plenty of athleticism, Bower has an innate ability to consistently find barrel and drive the ball to all fields. Defensively he can completely shut down the run game while catching and also is capable of holding down an OF position if needed. Although he might not rack up innings like other players on this list, his ability to hit everything thrown his way is tough to ignore. Washington State commit.
