Washington 2025 Rankings: Newcomers

Josh Schoenberg
Scouting and Operations Assistant

As the summer comes to an end and Washington's Class of 2025 enters the back half their prep careers, we want to shed some light on the new faces within this rankings update. Earlier in the week, our staff officially updated our '25 board, highlighting several of the state’s top prospects within our release.

We'll dive deeper into the rankings today, shining light on a handful of players who debuted on our board after showing well in front of the PBR Washington staff. Below, you'll learn more about these names that are trending upward as we enter the increasingly important fall season.

newcomers

Charlie Seneker RHP / 1B / Mercer Island , WA / 2025

Seneker showed well on our 2022 Preseason ID circuit as just a freshman, and 2023 was a breakout year for the Mercer Island junior. He began to fill out his athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame and saw a big jump in velocity. After sitting in the mid-70s before his freshman season, he now comfortably sits in the mid-80s with more still in the tank. His go-to secondary is a spin killing changeup that plays well off the fastball, and he has shown ability to spin a breaking ball with depth. Operating strictly from the stretch with a clean arm action, there is much to like about Seneker.

Hiroshi Johnson RHP / SS / Redmond, WA / 2025

Johnson hosts a high waisted frame with long levers and plenty of upside at 6-foot-4, 160-pounds. He uses an easy effort operation with a high leg kick and deceptive arm action. His mid-to-high 80s fastball jumps on hitters, playing up thanks to his ability to hide the baseball and his extension. Johnson mixes in a mid-70s breaking ball and a high-70s changeup as his secondary offerings. After a productive summer, Johnson debuts within the top-70 in our recent rankings update.

Aiden Michael RHP / Klahowya Secondary, WA / 2025

This past May, in the final start of his sophomore campaign, Michael authored a complete game shutout in the 1A semifinals to send the Eagles to the title game. Later in the summer, he got to toe-the-rubber at the PBR Kentucky Wood Bat Championships, where he tossed another complete game, allowing just three hits while recording a dozen strikeouts. After his breakout performances in 2023, he finds himself debuting in our rankings heading into the fall.

Blake Skinner SS / 2B / Bothell, WA / 2025

Skinner is a lean and projectable 6-foot-2, 165-pounds with room to continue adding mass. The right-handed hitting middle infielder shows smooth and athletic actions up-the-middle with a clean glove on defense. Offensively, Skinner has a loose and balanced stroke that has flashed barrel whip. Following a productive 2023, he finds himself debuting in our recent rankings update.

Jacob Nadeau RHP / OF / Timberline , WA / 2025

Nadeau is an athletic 6-foot, 165-pounds with a strong lower half. He made his PBR debut last month at the South Sound Open and came away from the event as a name-to-know heading into his junior campaign. The fastball sits in the low-80s with an average IVB of 16.9 inches. He also showed feel to spin a pair of breaking balls, including a tight sweeping slider.

Hudson Carvalho RHP / SS / Issaquah, WA / 2025

Carvalho has plenty of upside in his 6-foot-2, 160-pound frame with long and wiry levers. Working with an easy and effortless operation, he has a quick arm that works with loose and whippy action from a high 3/4 window. The fastball currently sits in the low-to-mid 80s with plenty more in the tank as he continues to physically develop. Complementing the fastball are a pair of off-speed offerings, a breaking ball with depth and a fading changeup.

Andrew Fetty 1B / RHP / Kamiak, WA / 2025

From 6/28/23" "[Fetty] got everyone’s attention during batting practice as he went out and averaged 91.2 mph with his EV while peaking at 101.1 mph from the left side. Showed quick, powerful hands with tight levers in the swing. Very simplified approach at the plate with few moving parts. Gets the barrel out easily with controlled intent. Exciting left-handed bat to watch this summer."

Colin Chapman RHP / 3B / Eastlake, WA / 2025

Chapman made his PBR debut in July at the Seattle Summer Open II and walked away from the event as one of the day's biggest winners. Standing at a lean and wiry 6-foot-1, 150-pounds, he has obvious upside in his frame with ample room to continue adding mass. His fastball is particularly intriguing, peaking at 82.6 mph with an average 13.9 inches of run and IVB of 16.5 inches. The pitch had impressive spin efficiency as well at 98%.
