Trace Ferreira (New Berlin West) has been trending up this fall, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound right/right outfielder rose more than 10 spots into the top 20. Ferreira is a strong bodied outfield who makes consistent hard contact and a strong arm from the outfield. Ferreira verbally committed to Indiana State in September.

LHP Jacob Wilde (Waukesha West) has always been on our radar, waiting for him to make a jump on the mound. Wilde is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound southpaw with a clean easy arm action who we’ve seen improve his velocity to 80-82 mph this fall with above average secondary stuff. There’s clearly still more in the tank for Wilde as he uses little effort out of a ¾ slot producing lively fastball finish with average velocity. Wilde is now a top 40 prospect in the state.

Jacob Wilde 5.13.17

Oconomowoc’s Nathan Platter made a slight move in the rankings this update. Platter is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed pitcher who showed good feel for an 82-84 mph running fastball and a plus potential changeup for age. His changeup is a separator which could be classified as a power changeup at 77-79 mph and hard arm side action.

Another right-handed arm to see a jump was Hortonville’s Jason Jennerjohn. Jennerjohn has a quick arm and release that can produce lively action. Jennerjohn has shown improvements in his control around the zone making him a more valuable commodity in the 2019 class.

Jason Jennerjohn 8.22.17

OF Miguel Baez has hovered around the back half of the rankings but moved into the top 55 after some strong showing this fall. Baez has a strong mature build and shows some dynamic tools in workouts. His above average arm and run tools could make him a viable centerfield option at the next level.
