Next week we will be rolling out the Milwaukee Preseason ID analysis. With so many talented prospects representing each class it was challenging to break down but we will start by analyzing each position regardless of class followed by a breakdown of the top prospects in each class.
You’ll see a lot of new names, ones that you will soon be familiar with, as well as many of the already established top prospects in Wisconsin.
Look for a number of 2017 prospects to find themselves among the top performers. Guys like LHP Ben Dragani (Catholic Memorial), RHP Jacob Lindemann (Burlington), C Jamie DeWitt (Waukesha) and RHP Nolan Rebernick (Union Grove) could find themselves right in the mix of top performers.
Several of the state’s top ranked players performed well but many newcomers should also mix things up. Names like RHP Logan McShane (Wisconsin Lutheran, 2015), RHP Ty Ramirez (Greendale, 2015) and OF Aaron Goecks (Brookfield Academy, 2016) all showed well amongst several highly ranked peers.
Also pay close attention to several previously ranked players who have made vast improvements since we have last seen them and will make things difficult at the top of the state rankings. Players like C Marshall Gilbert (Westosha Central, 2015), RHP Matt Hamilton (Oak Creek, 2016), RHP/OF Cyrillo Watson (South Milwaukee, 2016) all showed improved tools in some aspect of their game that will improve their stock.
2014 should be an eventful year in Wisconsin, with one Preseason I.D. in the books and one more to go the talent of prospects in Wisconsin has never been deeper.
