Southern Wisconsin Open: Outfield Analysis

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Supervisor – Wisconsin/Illinois

The outfielders were led by three left-handers that showed excellent athleticism and upside. All three are very projectable at the next level and have strong tools sets. Nate Anderson (Mukwonago), already a Heartland CC commit took the top spot with the most polished tool set of the three. Another Mukwonago product, Augie Mihlbauer, looks to have the most projection of the three, still a 2017 graduate, Mihlbauer has a similar tool set to Anderson and a highly projectable frame. Joey Scaffidi (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2017) is raw with quick twitch athleticism. His 60 time (6.79) was the best at the event and looks to be a top of the lineup, opposite field hitter from the left side.
