SEASON OUTLOOK:

The Knights struggled through a six win season a year ago, but got hot at the right time to down University HS two games to one to win the sectional title. Six starters return for coach John Chambers in what he hopes will be a strong hitting team. The Knights goal is to win a region title and advance to Charleston for a spot in the state final four.

West Virginia University commit Jimmy Galusky, a 1,000 point scorer in basketball, will have to lead them. The senior put up big numbers in 2013 hitting .519 with seven home runs, 11 doubles, 31 RBI and had a school record 54 hits. Galusky, ranked No. 12 in the WV Class of 2014, was a 1st Team All-State selection last season.

Nolan (.375 in 2013), Cool (.345 with an injured wrist last year) and Atkinson (5 HR in 2012) will give the Knights a lot of fire power at the top of the order.
