Team Name: Roane County Raiders
Head Coach: Jeff Thompson (243-274 career record)
Classification: AA
2016 Record: 12-15
Conference Record: Little Kanawha Conference, 6-4
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/3

2017 Team Strengths:

  • Senior leadership, depth of returning starters, pitching staff in tact

2017 Team Weaknesses:

  • Improved team defense will likely dictate team success

Coach Outlook: "We return our entire pitching staff and will be a lot deeper as an offense than last season. We should field a pretty solid lineup but will have to improve defensively, especially with the new pitch count rules."

PBR Outlook: The Raiders have the luxury of relying on seven returning starters and their complete pitching staff from a year ago. With just two starters to replace look for Roane County to build significantly on last year's 12 win total.
