2021 Junior Future Games: Team Ohio - Top Performers

Team Ohio went down to Georgia and showed out amongst some of the top uncommitted prospects in the nation. Both Team OH 14u squads were filled with a ton of promising young prospects, who will have great success in the coming years. Both teams improved each game and took the coaching suggestions we offered with open ears.

Overall MVP

Ashton Martin SS / RHP / Jonathan Alder, OH / 2025

Report: The 2025 MIF/RHP had a very solid showing this week in Georgia. Well above average ball skills in the field for age, to go along with a solid plate performance. Martin was 5-6 on the week with 2 doubles. He also was called upon to pitch when Team Ohio was down 8-0. He attacked the challenge and went out on the mound and helped stop the bleeding. Overall, Martin was able to put his athleticism on display and plays with a good mix of confidence and swagger between the lines.

Best Pitching Performance

Preston Zumwalt SS / 2B / Tippecanoe, OH / 2025

Report: In game 3 for Team OH (1) Preston Zumwalt received the ball for the start. He went 4 strong innings only giving up 1 run and would have gone longer if it were an actual game. Showcased a solid two-pitch mix that kept hitters off balance.

Cooper Gilkerson RHP / 3B / Hilliard Darby, OH / 2025

Report: Cooper Gilkerson received the ball for Team OH (1) in game two. Although it may not show in the scorebook, Gilkerson had one of the better pitching performances.
