Alderson Broaddus Set to Host Final Date (September 29)

The Fall College Prospect Program began on August 17 with prospects from PA, WV, MD, NY, NJ, OH and Canada showcasing their talents on 10 college campuses in Pennsylvania over five weekends. The Pennsylvania portion of the program wraps up this weekend with stops at DeSales University (9/21) and at Lehigh University (9/22).

The final leg of the program will take place in West Virginia on September 29 at Alderson Broaddus University. There are still some available openings for prospects looking to showcase their talents for college coaches.

Wooten shows well at thiel College

Eric WootenEric Wooten and his Cabell Midland HS teammates came within one win of bringing home the 2013 West Virginia Class 3A title, losing toe Hedgesville 4-2 in the state championship game. The 5-foot-11, 155-pound uncommitted senior went 2-for-5 with a walk and an RBI at the state tournament. Wooten is still searching for that right college fit and is preparing for his senior season and another run at the state title.

In an effort to expand his college baseball possibilities, Wooten made the trip north to participate in the Fall College Prospect Program on September 14 at Thiel College. Wooten showcased athletic actions and an accurate arm from his outfield position. The right-handed hitter utilized a square stance with no stride and a line drive approach to barrel the baseball routinely during batting practice.
