Game of the Day: Scott at Chapmanville Regional

Scott opend the scoring in the top of first on an RBI single by Carter Lyles. The Skyhawks missed out on a golden opportunity for more when Chapmanville catcher Ryan Craddock picked a runner off third with two outs and the bases loaded.

Chris BaileyChapmanville tied the game in the bottom of the third on a couple walks and a run scoring single by Tiger's pitcher Chris Bailey (No. 24 in the curent WV Class of 2017 ranknings).  The score remained tied at one, as both pitchers settled in, until the bottom of the fifith. Chapmanville blew the game open scoring six runs when seven consecutive hitters reached base.  Hits in the sequence included singles by Kyle Browning, Connor Mullins and Adam Vance while Noah Dingess doubled.

Two pitchers combined to two-hit the Skyhawks.  Bailey went five innings with a line of 1 H, 1 ER, 7 K, 4 BB.  Connor Mullins pitched the final two innings with a line of 1 H, 0 ER, 3 K, 1 BB.  Bailey (pictured right) had the only multiple hit game for either team going 2-for-3.
