Grant Bates has had an impressive start to his sophomore season for the Lincoln County Panthers. The 6-foot, 190-pound 3B/RHP is hitting .400 through the first six games of 2013 a double, a home run and six RBI. His .455 on base percentage and slugging percentage of .600 are also stellar for a player his age.
Bates has contributed on the mound as well. He is currently 2-0 with a 3.62 ERA. Bates has worked 9.2 innings striking out 12 while yielding 10 hits.
With his projectable size and his early career numbers, Bates will definitely be a player to watch in the Class of 2015 moving forward.
