The Appalachian Aces will travel to take on Ohio Valley University this Sunday for (2) seven inning games. Due to their field being used by the City of Parkersburg, the games will be played at Parkersburg South's field.

The Fighting Scots are led by Chad Porter. The 2019 season will be his fourth season back at his alama mater as the Head Baseball Coach. Coach Porter is entering his fifth year as the full-time Athletic Director and oversees the entire Athletic Department. In 2017, Porter led the Fighting Scots to a 27-21 record, the team’s best since the 37-win season of 2006. The record was powered by a 13-game winning streak in the month of April, and Porter earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors for his efforts.

"I've known Chad since my playing days at West Virginia State. His teams are always fundamentally sound and well coached. It will be another great opportunity for our guys to get repetitions against solid players." said Aces Head Coach Josh Kuykendall.

Ohio Valley is looking to build off a 2018 campaign where they went 20-31.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
