By Greg Williams
WV Director of Scouting

Session Two of the Winter College Prospect Showcase took place on January 16 at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim, PA. The roster included players from three states including a pair of prospects from West Virginia.

Today we begin our analysis of the West Virginia prospects in attendance by reviewing the performance of Morgantown High School junior Jordan Page. CLICK HERE to view complete results for all prospects in attendance.

Jordan Page, OF/2B, Morgantown HS
Jordan PagePage is a 5-foot-8, 175-pound two-sport standout that was a 1,000 yard rusher this past fall as a junior. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a short, lift-and-replace stride. Additional work to stay on his back side longer would allow Page to take advantage of his physical frame. A solid feel for the barrel and a short swing path resulted in a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. Page displayed athletic actions defensively and ran a 7.01 60-yard dash. He displayed the ability to play through the baseball with accurate 74 mph arm strength.

Page hit .358 for the Mohigans as a sophomore with 32 runs scored in 30 games played. The junior also walked 12 times and was hit by a pitch four times for an impressive .450 on base percentage.
