A right-handed 2026 two-way player out of the Calgary Bucks, Wurz boasts a 6-foot-4, 180-pounds projectable frame. On the mound he uses a loose arm out of a high ¾ arm slot to command a 77-80 mph fastball, a 75-77 mph changeup and a 69-71 mph curveball. With his steep vertical approach  angle, he locates at the bottom of the zone inducing ground balls and weak contact.  At the plate he reached a max exit velocity of 84.7 mph with a smooth swing allowing him to extend his arms and barrel the ball hard back up the middle and to the opposite field. His ability to elevate the ball will be further showcased as he adds strength going forward. He will be an intriguing follow both on the mound and at the plate heading into next season.

Wurz was another underclassmen who caught our attention and stands out with sheer size for his age at 6-foot-4, 180-pounds. Did his best work with the left-handed bat and it’s a clean swing with hands that are direct to the ball. Worked to the middle/pullside throughout his round with a top exit velocity of 82.6mph. Has a chance to be a real impact bat as he continues to fill out. Flashed potential on the mound, as well, as he continues to grow at the position. Overall game just lacks physicality right now as he’s still young but will only trend upwards as he adds strength and fills out.
