6’1/205, L/R, Junior. Played both 2B and 1B this weekend. Looked out of sync in the box this weekend, mustering only one hit in 16 at-bats with seven strikeouts. Showed a balanced setup and average bat speed. Was really pull happy and as a result greatly struggled with breaking balls, which is really all he was thrown. He was consistently behind in the count 0-2 and 1-2. With several scouting directors and cross-checkers in the stands, he picked a bad time to swing it poorly, but that’s why we play 56 games. His bat is his best tool and he will recover. I would hate to be his opponent when he does.
