We got a look at Bonin for the first time at the Alberta Fall Open in September of last year. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound two-way player impressed on the mound. With an athletic look, he has a quick arm and gets down the mound well. He sat in the 80-82 mph range with the fastball and mixed in a sinker, curveball, and changeup all for strikes. At the dish, he showed bat-to-ball with a short swing path elevating to all parts of the field. Over the offseason, Bonin has been up to 87 mph on the mound and it’ll be interesting to see how his secondary pitches look with that velocity jump.

Bonin, the 6-foot-1 170Ibs two-way player, had one of the more impressive bullpens at the Alberta Fall Open ID. Athletic look on the mound with a quick arm out a high ¾ slot. Possesses a 4 pitch mix and showed the ability to locate them all for strikes. The fastball sat 80-82 mph while the sinker was 78-79 mph with arm-side-run. The curveball profiles more as a slider as it has horizontal break to it, coming in at 67-69 mph. At the dish, the RHH consistently elevated to all parts of the field. Bonin will be an intriguing follow as we head into the offseason.
