6/05/24
Uncommitted. 6’2” 160lb lanky frame with lots of room to fill out still. Throws from a high ¾ slot with a live arm. In his start, he opened up 83-85 with the fastball, topping out at 87. Fastball has cut/ride shape, and he spun it at ~2400rpm throughout with sharp, late break to the gloveside at times. McCrary threw the slider at 71-74 with spin rates consistently at or above 2700rpm. Prior to a rain delay, he showed decent command with the arsenal. All in all, it’s an intriguing arsenal and a frame that still has a lot of projection left. Good follow.
