Everett Loveless (2022, RHP/C, Scottsboro) 6’0 140 lbs.- Showed solid actions all over the field and has really matured physically since the last time we saw him. On the mound, the ‘22 grad showed a live FB up to 83 mph with legit ASR. The FB seemed to be heavy as he was able to locate to both sides. The arm works behind the plate as well he was very athletic receiving pitches. Moved well also. Really did a nice job of swaying the body on pitches in and out. At the plate, he had an open stance and has plus bat speed which created a violent swing. The barrel stayed through the hitting zone with a level swing path. His approach was mainly in the middle of the field.
An impressive young arm (2022) with a slender build that will continue to fill out. Very impressive on the day with all 3 pitches he threw. Showed an “over the top” arm slot and really kept hitters off balance during his 2 innings of work. His upper half and lower half are really synched which allows him to be on time when his land foot hits the ground. His fastball was up to 79 with big time ASR and some sink forcing hitters to swing over the top of it. The curveball has a nice 12/6 shape with tight spin and he could really get the changeup to tumble at 62-63 mph. Look out for this 2022 RHP.
