Samford Commit. The big bodied, 6-foot-0 MIF had a great showing in the morning games as Deshler’s offense was on from the first pitch. In his first AB, he hammered a first pitch inner FB, showing impressive hand speed keeping the arms tight to the body as it would roll down the LF line to the fence, putting a man on 3B and coming around to score soon after. It was more of the same in his following AB, this time showing oppo pop by meeting the ball out in front for a GR2B in the RCF gap. His top half stays quiet while his bottom half gets a slight bend in the load to produce quality pop and an effective bat path. He is an athletic mover in the field as well moving both ways and making each play. Reid is an effective table setter for the Tigers offense in the 2 hole.
