'21 1B Jace Dyer (Southern Union CC signee) led the way offensively for the Wolves and recorded some big hits with runners in scoring position on Opening Day. Hitting from the left side at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, Dyer showed solid feel for hit & a pull side approach. He showed no trouble handling some velocity against some quality arms, as he doubled off of an SEC recruit (2nd clip below) on an inside fastball. He's got quick hands with a strong lower-half hitting in the 3-hole for a talented Wolves' lineup. Two RBI single to right field in his first at-bat of the season (first clip below) to break open the scoring for both teams. Creates a lot of leverage with a slightly elevated bat path. Confident mentality & was consistent with the bat all day.
