5-foot-10, 170 pound compact frame. Griggs has seemed to make some notable strides, both physically and offensively, since the last look this past summer. Hits in a slightly closed stance from the right side and got off some good swings against quality arms during a HS scrimmage prior to the 2021 season. Recorded a double to the pull side gap off of an elevated fastball during gameplay. Hits for average currently, but should see some more power come on in the future.

5-foot-10, 165-pound mature frame. Clocked a time of 7.76 in the 60-yard dash. Has a controlled load and a quick stride. Has efficient bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up some balls during the round. Pull side approach. Griggs recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 80 mph. Had a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. up-temp type pitcher. Shows a clean finish. Curveball (62-63 mph), changeup (68-69 mph).Sat with his fastball at 78-79 mph and topped out at 80 mph; had running action and very consistent control.

Slightly open toe tap approach at the plate as he continually showed a middle of the field approach. Did a nice job of keeping his hands and barrel inside the ball with a flat barrel path, producing consistent line drives. Did a nice job using his legs and showed nice barrel control. Really moved well during IF drills and showed a very quick transfer, getting rid of the ball quickly. Loved the glove presentation and feel for the hot corner. On the mound, he showed a FB up to 77 mph and the ball really seemed to come out of the hand very clean. Was down in the zone and showed some action into RH hitters. The breaking ball had tight spin and took shape of a slider.
