Has thrown in some big games for the Patriots this year as a sophomore, and tossed Game 2 against Hoover in this 7A State Playoff matchup on Friday. Projectable 6-6, 210-pounds that ran the fastball up to 85 mph in this outing, while consistently working in the low-80’s out of a high ¾ arm slot. Breaking ball at 69-71 mph was a slightly above average offering with 11/5 break. Flashed a few changeups at 75-76 with some sink to the arm side. Worked at a very slow pace in between pitches early on, but seemed to affect hitters in the process. A bit inconsistent on the delivery and landing spot, but there’s a ton to like in the future coming from this sophomore.
