The right-hander sat 83-87 on his outing, was a lot of 86-87 early before losing some steam after a couple innings of work. The delivery was compact and was not super high effort. His arm worked efficiently along a short arm circle. He pounded the fastball effectively during the outing, he mixed in an 67-68 11-5 CB that he commanded okay. He backed it up a lot and struggled at times to just make it a quality pitch for him.
High ¾ arm slot for this impressive ‘21 RHP. The depth on the breaking ball is legit and he was able to command that pitch very well. Also threw a different breaking ball with slider action but both worked 68-69 mph in the zone. The CH was 70-71 mph with deceptive movement. The delivery was very balanced and the FB was legit at 84-85 mph consistently and up to 86 mph several pitches. Showed the ability to command the FB down in the zone. Very impressive ‘21 RHP. Was 84 mph across the diamond and came off the bag well to start the 3-6 DP. Defends well at 1B. At the plate, he showed nice pull side juice from an athletic setup. Slight tilt in the swing path and uses his lower half in the swing very well. The ball really bounced off of the barrel.
