Player Spotlight

Cade Harp: RHP/SS, (2023) White Hall, AR. 6-foot-1, 160-pound lean projectable build. Fluid projectable during batting practice, Harp had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. (62.38 mph bat speed average). (21.00 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic balanced stance with a controlled rhythmic load, then used a small leg kick closed. Bat speed was average efficient, displayed an an inside-out uphill swing plane and good extension on his back foot finish. Was able to create a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive base hit approach. Athletic capable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 80 mph; shows a quick natural exchange, consistent sure hands, and smooth rhythmic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic quick. Using a long quick arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.56. Smooth above average on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a long quick arm action while showing quick above average arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Balance is tall point with an even in line shoulders in his delivery. Lands square and soft with an athletic balanced finish. Threw his fastball 82-84 mph; has a tight fastball that showed both sides of the plate feel command and sinking late action. (Max spin 2149; Avg 1982). His changeup (73-75) has sinking deceiving action and around the zone down in the zone control. Has both sides of the plate down in the zone command and slurvey swing and miss action on his 10/4 wipeout slider (67-69). (Max spin 1938; Avg 1878).

Hit: (RHH) Fluid projectable. Begins in an athletic balanced stance with a controlled rhythmic load, then uses a small leg kick closed. Average efficient bat speed. Good extension on his back foot finish, inside-out uphill swing. Line drive base hit approach.

Power: 84 mph exit velocity, average 65.65 mph. 62.38 mph bat speed average. 21.00 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Consistent sure hands, smooth rhythmic footwork, quick natural exchange. Athletic capable.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic quick.

Arm: 80 mph infield velocity. Long quick arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

Speed: 7.56 (60-yard).

Pitching: Smooth above average. Up-tempo delivery, easy effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick above average arm speed, long quick arm action. Athletic consistent balance point, even in line shoulders, lands square and soft, an athletic balanced finish.

FB: T84. 82-84 mph. (Max spin 2149;  Avg 1982). Both sides of the plate feel accuracy, sinking late action, tight movement.

CH: 73-75 mph. Around the zone down in the zone control, sinking deceiving action.

Cade Harp: RHP/SS, (2023) White Hall, AR. 6-foot-1, 153-pound lean frame. Above average during batting practice, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 90 mph. Started in an open stance with a controlled smooth load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed is above average, uses a short uphill swing plane and high finish. Found lots of barrels with a lot of loud contact. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 83 mph; shows a quick fluid exchange, athletic consistent feet, and sure hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a long arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands open with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 80-82 mph; throws a straight fastball with some action and command low in the zone. Threw his 11/5 curveball (64-65) with control around the zone and early action. His 10/4 slider (65-66) showed tight action and low in the zone control.

FB: T82. 80-82 mph. Low in the zone accuracy, some action, straight movement. 

CB: 64-65 mph. Around the zone command, early action, 11/5 shape. 

SL: 65-66 mph. Low in the zone command, tight action, 10/4 movement.

6-Foot-1, 145-Pound lean frame with athleticism, ran a 7.30, Offensively; simple set up, simple load, hand load to toe tap with leg lift, barrel active, backside works underneath, quick bat, short stroke, short finish, leverage to swing, 85 mph exit velo, Defensively; active feet, fingers down to field, athletic actions, funnel to midline, short stroke, above average carry, 78 mph arm strength.

Pitching: high ¾ slot, quick arm speed, long arm action, good balance point, some effort to delivery, falls to 1b side after release, closed toe land, late hand break, spin the front foot to release, work to glove side, fastball arm side run late action at the plate, curveball 10-4 shape, early action, gradual break, fastball line, feel for pitch in zone, change up, fastball line, arm side run, controlled the zone.
