Brantley is a 5-foot-9 130-pound middle infielder with an athletic frame and build. He ran a 4.56 home to first. Defensively he threw the baseball 66 mph across the infield. He uses a ¾ arm slot with some stiffness to his throwing motion. Defensively he plays through the baseball with fluid footwork. His exchange is a little long, but the arm is accurate. Offensively he produces exit velocities up to 76 mph. He starts from an athletic stance, he uses a slight leg kick as his load. He gets his foot down a late and has rushed rhythm. He has a line drive swing that stays in the hit zone for an extended period of time.
