2021 OF Austin Corbett (Horizon)- 5-foot-10, 165-pounds, Paradise Valley commit, large athletic build, lean proportionate body, present athleticism. Right-handed hitter, uses a squared stance, semi narrow base, athletic relaxed setup. Uses a knee to knee pick up, shifting weight slightly into back leg, lands square. Starts with a vertical barrel, flattening out with some rhythm to the load. Some steepness to the swing on the day, present bat speed with quick hands. Hips work well, accelerating on plane quickly. Used the whole field with mostly line drives to CF in BP. Hit ball on the screw to 3B in game action. Short athletic footwork in the OF, confident actions. Uses side shuffle to create direction, good arm strength with clean transfers, short arm action, carry to the target, 93mph.
5-foot-10 165-pounds, lean compact build, above average athleticism, good strength for size, some twitch. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash, running the 60-yard dash twice, recording almost identical times. Worked out as a two-way player. Sets up in an athletic base with back knee inside foot. Uses a small leg lift with slight forward movement, keeps his head still. Loads hands slightly back. Stays connected at front foot strike. Fast hands & above average bat speed. More power potential from the frame than it looks, 93mph exit velocity. Athletic footwork in the OF with rhythm. Strong arm with accuracy at 91mph. Hits a ball at 101mph with a 21 degree launch angle in BP, 393 feet. Also worked out on the mound. Athletic delivery with quick twitch actions. Short compact arm action from ¾ arm slot. FB sat 81-85mph, mixing a slurvy breakball with low spin CH that showed some arm side movement. Follow in 2021 class.
5’9 155-pound frame. Square set up with hands shoulder height. Gets barrel into good position with angle pointed down towards catcher. Elbow stays in slot, led by his lower half. Explosive lower half which generates his 90 MPH exit velo. From the outfield he showed an 89 MPH arm, using a pro step to get in line to target. 7.02 runner
