5-foot-10 165-pounds, average build with some athleticism, some strength in lower half, some projectability. Throws from a ¾ arm slot, on lower side with quick arm speed. Long & loose arm action. Balance with some effort in quicker delivery, some rhythm. Lands closed off, falling off to the first base side at times. Some deception hiding the baseball, cross firing. Threw lots of strikes. CH is his best pitch. FB sat 77-79mph with late run/sink. CH was thrown with sinking action at 69-70mph. Also, mixed in a gradual spinner with 10/4 shape at 65-68mph. Monitor as he gets stronger and matures physically.
5/15/19
5’10 160-pound frame. Stance with a square stance, using a big leg kick to load into his hip and stay back for as long as he can. Solid bat path, matching plane early and for a long time. Footwork on throws from the outfield needs to improve but showed accurate and strong arm for his age at 79 MPH.
Ran his fastball up to 79 MPH with arm side run, throwing the baseball with intent. He has good timing in getting down the mound, allowing his arm to be on time. Occasionally gets quick down the mound, which keeps the ball up in the zone. Showed a slurvy breaking ball at 65-68 MPH and a change with good arm speed.
