10/14/18 - 6-foot-1, 181-pound frame. Extremely advanced physicality. Manzo continues to show that he's the top available junior bat in Arizona. Posted 93 mph exit velocity. Gliding forward to foot strike, Manzo creates a strong base and solid separation, keeping his hands back as well as anyone before showing elite bat speed to drive the ball with authority to all fields. The physical 6-foot-1, 181-pound prospect consistently produces in game action and I have no problem saying he could hit for any program in the country. He also posted a better 60-yard dash time that we've seen previously with a 7.24. Defensive future remains somewhat in question (LF/1B or possibly 3B), but the bat will play anywhere on the diamond including DH.
8/3/18 - No doubt high-D1 bat with some questions about where he its best defensively. Manzo is extremely short to the ball with bat speed and present strength. Manzo shows virtually no swing and miss, which makes the power/hit combo even more exciting. 3B, 1B and LF are the possible defensive destinations with LF likely the best fit if his run tool can tick up just slightly. He moves naturally out there and should be able to handle it as a way to get his bat in the lineup.
6/5/18 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. Strong, athletic build. Manzo stood out during BP, driving the baseball with authority to the pull side and showing a combination of strength and bat speed that could produce real power. Generates serious whip of the bat head. His 94 mph exit velocity was second-best at the entire event. His future defensively is less clear, however the bat could play enough to settle in at first base if necessary. Posted an 80 mph infield velocity and ran a 7.39 60-yard dash.
