Projectable frame at 6'3 190 pounds with clean mechanics and composure on the mound. Sat 87–89 and touched 91 with a firm fastball, showing consistent tempo and strike-throwing ability. Mixed in a slurvy 74–77 breaking ball and a 74–76 changeup with some late fade. Showed maturity in pitch sequencing, especially early, opening with spin to keep hitters off balance. Landon collected 12 K's on the day and profiles as a dependable arm with potential to contribute in a rotation role at the college level.

Landon Hood, a right-handed pitcher from Canyon View High School, delivered an impressive performance on Tuesday, featuring a fastball that sat at 86-88 mph and demonstrated true pitchability. Standing at 6'3", Hood is one of the top uncommitted arms in the 2025 class. He complemented his fastball with a devastating changeup, effectively keeping hitters off balance. With his tall, projectable frame, Hood has significant potential for a velocity increase in the future. Given his current skill set and room for growth, it wouldn't be surprising to see Hood commit soon, as he remains a highly sought-after prospect.

Strong frame with good size at 6’1”, 175. Slightly open set-up with a bit more weight on the back foot to start. A short step initiates the load where the hips are fired at footstrike. Upper body is kept back for a stint while the hips move forward. Hands begin a touch away from the body as they move towards the ball in a direct/slightly steep path. Slight tendency to wrap the hands with a middle-pull approach. Apparent strength exists here, 90.4 Max Exit Velo. Gets around the ball well in the infield. Currently projects as a corner infielder with some upside in arm strength, 80 INF Velo. Remains tall in delivery on the mound. Works downhill, some command in the bottom of the zone. Uses a three pitch mix (changeup, curveball). Change-up was a notable pitch with well above-average spin and movement for that particular pitch.
Game Results: 0-3, 3 K, BB | 5 batters, 0 H, 3 K
