2023 C Paul Thomas Teel (Nogales)- 6-foot, 180-pounds, New Mexico State commit, large lengthy frame, above average strength. Right-handed hitter, spread out base, squared stance, knee turn trigger, lands in line. Loads barrel over head with high back elbow. Some length to swing, short path out of the zone, pull approach, consistent LD contact with some present bat speed. Some future power potential. Low staggered stance, above average flexibility for long levered catcher. Aggressive towards 2B, creates direction. Short arm with above average arm strength at 75mph, solid accuracy to the bag. Recorded 1.95-2.14 pop times. Works from ground up while receiving, uses hybrid stance, brings the ball back to the strike zone.

Positional Profile: C/1B Showed some all around upside, development should be followed.
Body: 6-0, 175-pounds. Large frame, athletic body, above average strength for age. Some athleticism.
Hit: RHH. Balanced athletic, slightly open base, wide stance. Transfer weight to back leg with small leg lift, landing square. Loads into a slight barrel tilt. Gets connected at contact, showing some bat speed. Uphill swing with mid/opp approach.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity from the tee. Hard contact, looking to drive the baseball.
Arm: Right-Handed. C - 70 mph. Throws from short OT arm action. Accuracy with little effort.
Defense: 2.06-2.15 pop times. Wide staggered stance, stays low with some effort getting out of his crouch. Gets tall during the throw, using a side shuffle with some direction. Lands closed off at times. Starts extended when receiving with firm hands.
Run: 7.30 runner in the 60.
