Will continues to show the characteristics that make him one of Arizona's top left handed prospects. The Indiana commit worked in the upper 80s and touched 91 mph while creating quality angle and deception from the left side. The fastball showed strong metrics throughout the outing, playing effectively off a breaking ball that generated over 2,500 RPM of average spin. Will's ability to create uncomfortable at bats while maintaining strike throwing ability continues to stand out. The combination of present stuff, projection, and handedness gives him a very attractive profile moving forward.

Will Gnirk, Chaparral (AZ), 2027
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-3, 176-pounds. Tall, lean frame with good athletic projection and ample room to add strength as he matures.
Delivery: Short, compact delivery that stays tall while sitting decently into the backside. Works with a big stride toward home, keeping his line and showing a repeatable motion.
Arm Action: LH. Long, loose arm with whippy action and healthy deceleration. Works from a high three-quarter slot, though misses tend to stay up when the ball is released early.
FB: T86, 83-86 mph. Low-to-mid 80s with heavy sink and strong arm-side run, giving it a natural groundball profile. Around the zone enough to compete, and projects well when working to the lower half. T2288, 2130 average rpm.
SL: 77-78 mph. Upper-70s with elite spin and sharp break, showing both depth and sweep. Tight, late action gives it swing and miss potential and projects as a true out pitch with continued development. T2695, 2654 average rpm.
CH: 79-80 mph. Upper-70s to 80 mph with significant arm side fade and limited depth, playing more as a running changeup. Lower spin helps create separation from the fastball, projecting well as feel sharpens. T1624, 1576 average rpm.
ATH: 21.50 max vertical.
