A player who jumped onto the scene last year was Carter Cathers. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound athletic outfielder utilizes his current strength on both sides of the ball. In the outfield, he has a strong arm and tracks the ball very well for his size. He has 6.90 60 speed that he uses both in the outfield and on the bases. However, in the box is where he really stands out. Cathers has arguably the most raw power in his class. The strength based swing has plenty of torque generated by a strong lower half and bat speed that allows him to drive the ball with authority all over the field. He has repeatedly shown his ability to do damage against quality arms. The Mid-Island Pirate and Junior National Team product will look to carry this momentum into 2024.

’24 OF/1B Carter Cathers immediately caught our attention with a strong, physical frame at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds and moves well for his size. The right-handed hitter was one of BC’s top producing bats as he batted .375 on the week (9-for-24) with two doubles, a triple and five walks. Patient, yet aggressive at the dish with a good feel for the strike zone. Another bat from British Columbia who’s elevated his stock recently with a strong summer.
